Hi! It’s Xavier Zuniga, your intrepid and, some say, overly generous Warehouse Manager. I’ve been busy in the testing center once again with a return volunteer from Korea. I continued on my alphabetical journey which brought me to PWD Iron Horse. For those who don’t know, PWD, Pac West Distributing, is the parent company of such famous poppers brands as Rush and Super Rush. Iron Horse is a moderate seller but it has a fan base. I wanted to find out the root of the attraction.
My experience of Iron Horse is that of a solid and decent product. I rate it as a mild to medium in intensity but for the situation I was in when testing, being the recipient of a nice, slow, long, cleaning of some delicate parts, it was perfect.
Iron Horse is a low-odor product but it packs a solid punch that comes on subtle. Iron Horse isn’t going to overwhelm you like Jungle Juice Black tends to do, but it does have a desirable effect, quite similar to the most common results when using solvent cleaners. I think Iron Horse will satisfy most buyers in most situations.
So often we are asked “what is the strongest cleaner” and that is a difficult question to answer since so much depends on your personal preferences and needs. And I find that I don’t always need the “strongest” cleaner in every situation. For me, the intensity of a really strong cleaner can be exactly the wrong thing if I want to extend a session that I find particularly satisfying.
Situations in which I find a milder cleaner, such as Iron Horse, might be preferable include, but are not necessarily limited to:
- Early stages of the cleaning process;
- Solo work, especially if I want to take my time about it;
- Especially connected or intense duo, or more, cleaning tasks where I want to extend my engagement time without “finishing” too soon;
- Training a person who is new to the use of solvent cleaners.
I use a variety of cleaners exactly because there are differences. I think there is a place for Iron Horse in just about anyone’s cleaning kit. I would encourage anyone to give it a try.
